JONESBORO — Matt Pierce sank an 8-foot running shot in the lane with about 10 seconds left in Friday night’s game, lifting Ridgefield Christian to a 46-45 victory over Turrell in senior boys’ basketball.
The final basket gave Pierce a team-high 15 points. Adam Morgan scored 14 points and Adam Thrasher added 10 for the Warriors (2-0).
Theo Turner scored 19 points to lead Turrell. The Rockets led 16-11 after the first quarter, but the Warriors rallied to forge a 29-29 tie. Turrell led 41-39 at the end of the third quarter.
Turrell won the junior boys’ game 57-22. Jacob Reeves led Ridgefield with nine points.
Ridgefield (1-1) won the junior girls’ game 37-30 behind 14 points from Briana Smith and 12 from Mary Kathryn Williams.
Turrell won the seventh-grade boys’ game 41-31.

Riverside 66, Brookland 54

LAKE CITY — Jake Love drained five 3-pointers en route to a 26-point night, leading Riverside past Brookland 66-54 in senior boys’ basketball on Friday.
Love also had five steals, while Blake Hogan added 15 points and seven rebounds for Riverside (1-2).
Adrian Boling scored 21 to lead Brookland, which led 12-9 after a quarter before falling behind 29-25 at halftime.
Riverside won the junior boys’ game 50-36.

MARMADUKE 68, Bay 34

BAY — Colton Hale scored 20 points and Jacob Mason added 17 as MARMADUKE doubled up Bay 68-34 in senior boys’ basketball on Friday.
MARMADUKE led just 15-12 after a quarter, but stretched its lead to 31-17 by halftime and led 55-31 heading into the final period.
Troy Brown scored 10 points to lead Bay (4-2), which was outrebounded 30-17.
Bay won the junior boys’ game 44-34 to improve to 2-2.

Weiner 64, Tuckerman 59

TUCKERMAN — Jacob Brumley scored 24 points and three of his teammates were also in double figures as Weiner defeated Tuckerman 64-59 in senior boys’ basketball on Friday.
Chris Turner added 18 points, while Dalton McIllwain and Beau Smith each had 10.
Weiner (1-3) led 17-10 after a quarter, 29-26 at halftime and 49-40 after three periods.
Justin Watkins scored 15 points, Cody Mead had 14 and Jake Hitt added 10 for Tuckerman.

Tuckerman 50, Weiner 45

TUCKERMAN — Tuckerman led at the end of each quarter on its way to a 50-45 senior girls’ basketball win over Weiner on Friday.
Tuckerman was up 15-9 after a quarter, 23-21 at halftime and 37-34 heading into the final period.
Megan Goza scored 14 points and Bri Dora added 11 to lead Tuckerman.
Madison Craft had a game-high 20 points for Weiner.
Weiner won the junior girls’ game 40-30.

Mammoth Spring 69, Maynard 46

MAMMOTH SPRING — Seth Godwin poured in 34 points as Mammoth Spring defeated Maynard 69-46 in senior boys’ basketball on Friday.
Godwin also had five assists and five steals, while Trevor Vincent contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds. Caleb Brown also grabbed 10 boards for the Bears (3-1), who led 26-14 at halftime.
Mammoth Spring won the junior boys’ game 51-21.

ICC 51, Flippin 39

BROCKWELL — Rachel Harmon scored 24 points and Sarah Taylor added 16 as Izard County Consolidated beat Flippin 51-39 in senior girls’ basketball on Friday.
ICC trailed 25-21 at halftime and the score was tied 35-35 heading into the final period, when the Lady Cougars outscored the Lady Bobcats 16-4.

MARMADUKE 47, Riverside 37

MARMADUKEMARMADUKE defeated Riverside 47-37 Friday night in junior girls’ tournament action.
Lauren Weaver scored 16 points to lead Riverside.
