Perrin to speak a Lions meeting
Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin will speak to the Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. His topic will be governing the city in unusual times.

Food boxes available Wednesday
Crowley’s Ridge Development Council and The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host a food box distribution starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Harrisburg High School parking lot located at 401 W. South St.
The distribution is a first-come, first-served event, so individuals should arrive early. This is a truck to trunk distribution, and no identification or income documentation is needed.
Inventors Club meeting canceled
The Inventors Club meeting schedule for Thursday has been canceled because the Garage at A-State is still not available as a meeting place. Organization members hope to resume meeting on Sept. 17.
Pottery Guild to hold sale
The ASU Pottery Guild will host its annual summer pottery sale at Bill Rowe’s studio, 623 Craighead 403 in Jonesboro. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The event features the works of Rowe, Bryan Blankenship, Madeline England and Robert McCarroll.
FOA to host Plaza Friday
The Foundation of Arts will host its monthly concert series at the 7:30 p.m. Friday in Rotary Club of Jonesboro Centennial Plaza, 355 S. Church St. July 10 with the Doc Owens Band and July 17 with the Nancy and John Duo.
Arkansas Department of Health guidelines will be followed during the outdoor performance.
Annual reunion canceled
The House-Pratt family reunion, usually scheduled for the third weekend in July in Jonesboro, has been canceled for 2020. It will hopefully be held in 2021.
