MEMPHIS — Veterans residing in Craighead, Poinsett, Mississippi and other counties surrounding Jonesboro, who currently receive care through Sterling Medical Corp., will receive their care through STG International Inc. (STGi) beginning July 1.

This change is in compliance with the government requirement that contracts be put out for bid every five years. To ensure there is no interruption in care, Sterling Medical will continue to see veteran patients until June 30.

The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis and STGi will hold a town hall meeting from noon to 1 p.m. May 18 at the Earl Bell Community Center, 1212 S. Church St. in Jonesboro to discuss the upcoming changes.

The forum is open to veterans, family members, friends and concerned citizens.

The new VA Jonesboro Clinic will be located at 1843 E. Highland Drive, Suite B and will use a patient-aligned care team model to provide a full range of onsite and telehealth services.

For more information, veterans enrolled at the VA Jonesboro Clinic may contact Kaylyn Sickmeier, community-based outpatient clinic coordinator at 901-577-7332.
