JONESBORO — Broadway’s Matt Cavenaugh and Jenny Powers will perform Thursday in The Link Theatre Company’s outdoor livestream concert, “Jonesboro Strong in Song,” at Gamble’s Shop Local Park, 24 Craighead 912. This is a free public event.

They will be joined by local favorites, Tony Spinner and Vikki McGee, as well as Jonesboro’s Mathis Family, who were recently semifinalists on Nickelodeon’s “Most Musical Family.”

The concert will also feature the talents of Quaine Hogan, Ava Little, Maria Mohair, John Mixon, Fernanda Posadas, Janette Robinson, Quinton Sanders, Dia Sawyer, Ava Shatley and Anna Marie Wright.

Singers will be accompanied by Emily Trapp Jenkins, Jim Gramling and Elaine Bartee.

The program will feature musical selections from Broadway, pop, rock and other genres, and aims to empower Northeast Arkansas as the community overcomes the challenges brought on by the recent tornado destruction and COVID-19 outbreak as well as to underscore equality. Audience members are encouraged to make donations to The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.
