Give Blood
As COVID-19 cases have risen across the U.S., so has the need for convalescent plasma – leading to a shortage of this potentially lifesaving blood product. Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 may have antibodies in their plasma that could provide a patient’s immune system the boost it needs to beat the virus.

Boston Butt Sale
The Newport Kiwanis Club has a limited number available for preorder that will be ready on Friday, February 5, in time for Super Bowl weekend. The price is $35 each. Call (870) 523-3618. Pick up will be at the Newport Farmers Market starting at 10 a.m.
Newport City Council
The next Newport City Council meeting will be held on Monday, February 1, at 6 p.m. at the City of Newport Municipal Building.
Newport A&P Commission
The Newport Advertising and Promotion Commission will meet on Wednesday, February 3, at 10 a.m. in the Boardroom at the City of Newport Municipal Building.

Communities Unlimited, the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce and the Newport Economic Development Commission have been working with a group of local volunteers to design the ultimate guide to help start a business in Newport.
