Eubanks receive life saving award

Sgt. Kenneth Eubanks holds a life saving award he recently received stemming from an overdose incident on June 21 this year, according to information shared on the police departments Facebook page. Sgt. Eubanks received the Naloxone Life Saving Award by the U of A Criminal Justice Institute. The award was presented by Chief Allen Edwards, Captain Larry Dulaney, and Patrol Lt. Adam Bradley. The police department also expressed thanks to Merchants and Planter’s Bank of Newport, and Falwell Medical Clinic for their donations of Narcan to the department. Narcan is used to treat narcotic overdoses in emergency situations.
