BATESVILLE — M&P Community Bancshares has announced the addition of Kristin Owen to the Merchants and Planters Bank team as a mortgage loan processor in the mortgage lending department. Owen is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate packaging of mortgage loans from pre-approval to closing.
After completing school in Vilonia, she enjoyed a lengthy career in the health care industry. She admits the mortgage industry has had its learning curves, but she’s quickly catching on and adapting. “It’s a complex industry, but it’s also very rewarding. I’m just transitioning from looking out for people’s physical health to their financial well-being,” said Owen.
Owen and her husband have three children, and in her spare time she can be found hanging out with them, watching movies, or taking the boat out for a spin.
“We are very pleased to have Kristin join our banking family. Her values and work ethic make her a great fit for the organization and a true asset in our lending department,” said Lee Conditt, president of the Batesville M&P market.
Owen’s office is located at 3081 Harrison St. in Batesville. She may be reached at 870-793-3600.
