Tuckerman Basketball Roundup

The Tuckerman Bulldogs are now 19-8 on the season and 8-2 in conference play. The Tuckerman Jr. Boys are now 19-6 on the season and 4-1 in conference play. The Lady Bulldogs are now 20-4 on the season and 7-3 in conference play. The Jr. Girls are now 9-8 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.

The Tuckerman Lady Bulldogs hosted White County on Monday, January 25, for a conference matchup.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Kenzie Soden with 20 points in the 70-37 point victory. Ansley Dawson and Kenadi Gardner each scored 9 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

On Tuesday, the Bly Story Fieldhouse was host to the Salem Greyhounds for another conference matchup. Coach Josh Bateman returned to Tuckerman for the first time as the coach of the Salem girls team. The Tuckerman Lady Bulldogs defeated Salem on the road earlier in the season. Kenzie Soden would put up 11 points for the Lady Bulldogs but Salem would come out with the 57-33 victory over the Lady Dogs.

The Tuckerman Jr. Boys slid by Salem with a 33-31 conference victory on Tuesday night. Ayden Schlotzhauer scored 13 points followed by Waylon Tackett with 11 points. The Tuckerman Sr. Boys were led by Senior Cameron Jones with 35 points, Carson Miller with 11 points, and David Platt with 9 points.

On Thursday night Tuckerman was host to another round of conference games against the Midland Mustangs. The Tuckerman Jr. Girls picked up their ninth win of the season defeating Midland 44-29. Katie Clark scored 19 points followed by Braylee Smith with 9 points. The Jr. Girls are now 9-8 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.

The Tuckerman Lady Bulldogs defeated Midland 53-21 to secure their 20th win of the season. Raigan Head led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points followed by Kenadi Gardner with 13 points, and Kenzie Soden with 11 points. The Lady Bulldogs are now 20-4 on the season and 7-3 in conference play.

The Tuckerman Bulldog Sr. Boys picked up the 63-28 conference win led by Senior Jayden Shannon with 19 points followed by Cameron Jones 12 points, Jamy Fears 13 points, Carson Miller 10 points, and David Platt with 6 points.

The Tuckerman Jr. and Sr. Boys traveled to Salem on Friday for a conference matchup. The Tuckerman Jr. Boys held on to the undefeated conference record with the 31-19 victory of Salem. Finley Lancaster scored 12 points followed by Eli Ivie with 10 points.

The Tuckerman Bulldogs improved to 7-2 in conference play with the 48-43 win over Salem on Friday. Junior David Platt led the Bulldogs with a double double scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Carson Miller scored 14 points followed by Jamy Fears with 10 points and Jayden Shannon chipping in 9 points.

On Saturday the Jr. and Sr. Bulldogs hosted Sloan Hendrix for another conference matchup. The Jr. Boys lost their first conference game of the season to Sloan by a score of 42-38. Finley Lancaster scored 17 points followed by Waylon Tackett with 10 points. The Tuckerman Jr. Boys are now 19-6 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.

The Tuckerman Sr. Boys slid past Sloan Hendrix in the 67-56 conference victory. Seniors Cameron Jones and Jayden Shannon each scored 18 points in the win. Carson Miller and Jamy Fears added 11 points each followed by David Platt with 9 points and 12 rebounds. The Tuckerman Bulldogs are now 19-8 on the season and 8-2 in conference play. All the Lady Bulldog and Bulldog teams play this week for seeding in conference for the District Tournament that will begin on Saturday for the Jr. High teams.
