The Tuckerman Bulldogs began their season Monday, March 8, with a 6-4 victory over Cave City.
Owen Keller picked up the win on the mound for the Bulldogs allowing zero runs and striking out four in two innings. Will King started the game throwing six and a third innings, striking out four. Aaron Hurst, Blake Howard, and Drew Hembrey all had multiple hits for Tuckerman.
Tuckerman traveled to Carlisle on Wednesday, March 10, to play Quitman in the Carlisle Tournament. Aaron Hurst would pick up the 18-6 win for Tuckerman, striking out four.
Tuckerman had a total of 10 hits in the game. Aaron Hurst, Drew Hembrey, and Aidan Canard each had multiple hits for Tuckerman.
On Friday, March 12, Tuckerman played in the semi-final game against Rosebud. David Platt picked up the 10-4 win for the Bulldogs allowing one hit, zero runs, and striking out seven. Jayden Shannon started the game striking out four batters. Jayden Shannon and Aidan Canard picked up multiple hits for the Bulldogs including a Homerun by Shannon.
In the championship game on Saturday, the bulldogs pulled away in the third inning scoring Seven runs. Cameron Jones picked up the 14-1 win on the mound allowing one run, two hits, and striking out 10 batters. Multiple players for Tuckerman picked up hits and RBI’s.
Tuckerman traveled to Newport on Monday, March 15, to face the Greyhounds in the Battle of Bone game. David Platt would pick up the 21-2 win on the mound for the Bulldogs going three innings. Platt only allowed two hits, one run, and struck out eight. Tuckerman rallied for 14 hits on the day. Cameron Jones, Will King, Jayden Shannon, Blake Howard, DT King and Aidan Canard picked up multiple hits and RBI’s. Jayden Shannon led the Bulldogs in bases stolen with four. Tuckerman begins the season with a 5-0 record.
