JONESBORO — The yearly Stamp Out Hunger food drive held by the National Association of Letter Carriers has been indefinitely postponed, but the NALC has given donors an online option.

Supporters can make monetary donations at nalc.org/food to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas. The donation page has been set up so that every dollar will go directly to purchasing food.

Rather than a one-day event, the online food drive will continue as needed, and food banks are capable of purchasing more food than a resident could buy and donate with the same resources.

Due to COVID-19, the traditional drive of carriers picking up bags of donations wasn’t able to take place and will be rescheduled.

The NALC is partnered with the U.S. Postal Service, United Way Worldwide, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, Kellogg Co., National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, CVS Health, Valpak, AFL-CIO and Valassis.

Checks can be sent to P.O. Box 2097, Jonesboro, AR 72402.
