JONESBORO — A Jonesboro woman was arrested Saturday with more than 350 grams of methamphetamine, police said.
Misty Barber, 35, of 426 Woodland St. in Jonesboro, was pulled over at 4:40 a.m. by officer Kaitlyn Inouye on North Caraway Road after noticing a white pickup truck swerving into oncoming lanes.
Barber was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center for a driving while intoxicated test, but was combative and the test couldn’t be conducted, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Officer Tucker Harris searched Barber’s truck and found 352 grams of meth, a loaded 9 mm pistol and $9,900 in cash.
District Judge David Boling on Monday found probable cause to charge Barber with trafficking a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of a firearms and drugs, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, driving while intoxicated (drugs), refusal to submit, no liability insurance.
Boling set her bond at $1 million.
A Smithville man was killed Sunday in Poinsett County after his vehicle ran off Arkansas 463 while attempting to pass another vehicle, state police said.
Jose Quintana, 38, was traveling southbound on Arkansas 463 when the accident occurred at about 1:25 p.m.
In another incident, a 27-year-old Jonesboro woman said a 62-year-old woman tried to strike her with a vehicle on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Commerce Drive. The 62-year-old woman could be cited for aggravated assault on a family or household member and second-degree domestic battering.

Another Jonesboro man reported that his vehicle had been broken into on either Tuesday night or early Wednesday. Taken were two book bags, a speaker and a pair of sneakers.
