JONESBORO — A man accused of harassing a snowplow driver last week may be returning to jail, a judge said Monday.

Tyler Cline, 33, of Jonesboro, was arrested on Feb. 17 after Jonesboro received three calls in reference to him “doing donuts and following snowplow trucks,” according to the incident report. Officer Dalynn Johnson stopped Cline near the intersection of Fair Park Boulevard and Parkwood Drive.

When Johnson requested that he exit the vehicle, Cline refused and demanded a sergeant to assist him.

“While waiting on the sergeant, Cline informed Officer Johnson that he had marijuana on his person, but he had a valid marijuana card. Upon the arrival of the sergeant, Cline exited the vehicle and complied with commands,” the probable cause affidavit read.

Officers found buprenorphine pills, “suspected snorting straws” and marijuana in the vehicle, it states. When Cline was being booked into jail, more marijuana, three Xanax pills and four buprenorphine pills were found on his person.

District Court Judge Tommy Fowler initially set a $25,000 temporary bond for Cline’s pretrial release. While he was aware of pending felony matters, Fowler said only JPD’s recollection of the facts were considered when setting his bond.

Cline’s attorney Randall Miller informed Fowler that his client was released on a $1,500 temporary bond set by Judge David Boling.

Fowler found probable cause Monday to charge Cline with furnishing prohibited articles into a correctional facility, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule III drug less than 2 grams, possession of a Schedule IV or V drug less than 28 grams, obstructing governmental operations and failure to register a vehicle.

Cline wasn’t immediately available to appear in court by phone and when asked why, the suspect said documentation noted he was set to appear at 1:30 p.m., rather 1 p.m.

“Right now, I’ll leave it the way it is. … If it doesn’t show that, I will increase that bond,” Fowler told Cline and his attorney.

As of Monday afternoon, Cline was not listed as a detainee on the online jail roster.
