Police investigate paycheck forgeries

JONESBORO — A woman is sought by police for attempting to cash forged payroll checks Thursday at Focus Bank, 2525 Red Wolf Blvd.

The suspect, 46, fled from the bank in a burnt orange Hyundai, according to the incident report. The pair of paychecks were from Liddle Contracting of Powhatan and had a combined value of $4,095.11.

A woman fitting the suspect’s description also attempt to two forged checks at Simmons Bank, 1720 S. Caraway Road. The checks were valued at $4,280.

She also attempted to cash a Peco Foods payroll check for $2,129.54 at Arvest Bank, 3101 Southwest Drive.

In another report, a 28-year-old woman reported that she was raped.

The report also indicates that she and a second female victim, 30, were threatened by the 35-year-old man. The incident location and details into the victim’s allegations were not disclosed in the report.

Aaron Allen, 51, of Jonesboro, possession of drug paraphernalia; bond set at $1,500, cash or surety.

Wilma Andrews, 33, of Jonesboro, possession of meth greater than 2 grams but less than 10 grams with the purpose to deliver, possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver, possession of alprazolam with the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia; bond set at $10,000, cash or surety.

Edward Arnoult, 48, of Jonesboro, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces, driving on a suspended license; bond set at $10,000, cash or surety.

Cody Bakley, 27, of Bono, possession of a firearm by a felon, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces; bond set at $3,500, cash or surety.

Robert Chambers, 35, of Jonesboro, possession of meth more than 10 grams but less than 200 grams with the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver, driving on a suspended license; bond set at $10,000, cash or surety.

Rodrick Hale, 40, of Jonesboro, aggravated assault on a family or household member, misdemeanor probation revocation, misdemeanor failure to appear; bond set at $28,500, cash or surety.

Warren Keith, 52, of Jonesboro, possession of meth less than 2 grams, felony failure to appear, public intoxication, violation of a no-contact order; bond set at $50,000, cash or surety.
