JONESBORO — The Jonesboro man suspected in the robbery of Centennial Bank on June 9 and Bill’s Cost Plus on Hilltop on Saturday had his bail set at $1 million Wednesday by District Judge David Boling.

Adam Justin King, 39, of 303 Lake Drive in Jonesboro, told Boling he’d messed up his life.

He is accused of two counts of robbery.

Police said King netted $2,585 in cash in the bank robbery, and he left the scene in a gray GMC Sierra. King left Bill’s with $2,200, police said.

Also Wednesday, a Forrest City man who made a bail of $150,000 in April got a new bond of $250,000 on Wednesday. Boling found probable cause to cause Charlie Ray Partain, 18, with theft of property.

In April, Partain was arrested on suspicion of breaking into more than 15 vehicles, stealing money, credit cards and at least one firearm, police reported at the time.

Earlier this year Partain was involved in a drive-by shooting in Jonesboro. No one was injured.

In other cases, Boling found probable cause to charge:

Gary Truxler, 65, of Bono, with possession of meth or cocaine greater than 2 grams but less than 10 grams, simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, possession of a Schedule I or II drug not meth or cocaine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony failure to appear; total bond $250,000.
