JONESBORO — A Jonesboro man and woman were arrested Wednesday on multiple drug charges, police said.
According to a Jonesboro Police Department report, officer Mekhi Williams was told by another officer that one of the suspects was going to be in possession of drugs.
When he went to the suspects’ residence at 104 W. Gordon St., he arrested Dennis Madison, 44, and Stacey Quinn, 39, on suspicion of two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of a Schedule I or II drug not meth or cocaine less than 2 grams, two counts of possession of a Schedule IV or V drug less than 28 grams and possession of marijuana.
They were taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.
In another report, a Lake City man reported that four batteries and eight battery cables were stolen from his tractors in the 3000 block of Arkansas 463 in Jonesboro. The total value for the items was $1,720.
A pedestrian reported to police that he was struck by a vehicle while crossing at the intersection of Nettleton Circle and West Nettleton Avenue at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday
The victim, 27, who was not seriously injured, said he had the signal to cross when a maroon four-door sport utility vehicle hit him. He said the driver was a white female in her mid-30s.
The vehicle left the scene.
