'Talkin' Turkey' at the nature center

Samantha Humphrey (right) shows her daughters, Riley Humphrey, 10, (left) and Emma Humphrey, 8, how to apply the silicone to their turkey calls during the “Talkin’ Turkey” event on Tuesday afternoon at the AGFC Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center at 600 E. Lawson Road in Jonesboro. The program on the Eastern Wild Turkey is one of several events geared towards kids and families being held this week during spring break. Families enjoyed a crash course on turkey lingo and had the opportunity to make slate turkey calls. For information on other activities planned throughout the week, visit the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission website at www.agfc.com.
