JONESBORO — Carolyn Wise, 78, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was of the Baptist belief. She retired from Wyatt’s Cafeteria after 30 years.

Even in retirement, she still loved to cook and enjoyed helping the elderly. She was referred to as Maw Maw by friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wise, and her parents, Raymond and Opal Kirby.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Wortham of Jonesboro; sister, Mary Fletcher of Caraway; grandchildren, Kevin Horn and wife Shonda and Andrea Seymour and husband Joey; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Danny Jackson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Dillinger, Trenton Findley, Steven Letner, Randy Mitchell, Joey Seymour and Mitch Carter.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday.
