JONESBORO — Delbert “Dub” Eugene Turner Jr. of Jonesboro was born Nov. 9, 1944, in Paragould to Delbert Eugene Sr. and Ellen Ophelia Sullens Turner and passed away June 6, 2021, in Wister, Okla., at the age of 76.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Turner; one daughter, Tiffaney Rodatz and husband Jason; two sons, Gene Turner and wife Redena and Brad Turner and wife Angie; four sisters, Tina Gandy and husband Bo, Judy Dunn, Joy Nugent, and Becky Shipman and husband Terry; eight grandchildren, Heath Fields and wife Marissa, Erin Faulkner and husband Jamie, Kelsey Dillinger and husband Daniel, Waylon Turner and wife Skylar, Taelor Collier and husband Jason, Kandace Rodatz and husband Chad, Elyssa McGee and husband Luke, and Grant Rodatz; 11 great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Halle, Gabriella, and Arya Fields, Holland Davis, Kamreigh Kirk, Lane and Bailey Dillinger, Luke and Lincoln Collier, and Raylee McGee; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Eugene Sr. and Ellen Ophelia Turner; and a great-granddaughter, Haven Fields.
Dub was self-employed. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Dub was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Friday at Emerson Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Okla.
