HARRISBURG — Eva Marie Jordan Miller, 89, of Harrisburg, passed from this life Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg.
She was born April 12, 1931, in Harrisburg. She was the daughter of Sherman and Leticia “Tishie” Branum Jordan.
She married Mr. Charles “Lindy” Miller on Sept. 8, 1951, and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his death in 2008.
Eva was a member at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church until it closed, then they all became part of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and camping. She truly enjoyed reading her Bible and devotion books, having people pray with and for her. Eva also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Debbie Knick, two brothers, Gene and Ollie Jordan, and two sisters, Mary Emma Peifer and Sylvia Evans.
Eva is survived by two sons, Paul Miller of Cherry Valley and Ken (Paula) Miller of Harrisburg; one brother, Lowell Jordan of Sycamore, Ill.; several grandchildren including Jordan Miller, David (Dani) Miller, Leslie (Brian) Schwartz and Jason Knick; and many great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at Jackson’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Utley will conduct the service and family will be honored to serve as active pallbearers.
