Frances Lowery


WARM SPRINGS — Mrs. Frances Lowery, 74, of Warm Springs, formerly of Harrisburg Central community, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the former Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church.

Frances was a former employee of Baldwin Piano and currently retired.

She was the daughter of the late George Claude and Annie Belle Williams Jr. Frances was married to the late Doyal Lowery.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, James, Luther, Charles, Tony and Pat Williams, and one sister, Nancy Lowery.

She is survived by three sons, Jimmy (Michelle) Lowery of England, James (Sherri) Lowery and Gaylen (Tabitha) Lowery, both of Harrisburg; two daughters, Kim (Greg) Chaffin of Warm Springs and Sheryl Lowery of Biggers; grandchildren, Courtney, Aaron Christopher, Wesley Chance, Sydney, Sabrina, Destiny, Joseph, Austin, Danielle, Tyler, Myles and Blane; great-grandchildren, Layken, Case, Maddox, Reed, Harrison, Coralie and Silas; three sisters, Debra Benson, Judy Garner and Linda Collins; and three brothers, Barry, Michael and Tim Williams.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 this evening at First General Baptist Church. A celebration of life will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Darrel Miller officiating. Burial will be private in Holy Springs Cemetery at Harrisburg.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Chaffin, Myles Chaffin, Blane Chaffin, Christopher Lowery, Aaron Lowery, Wesley Chance Lowery, Joseph Stracener and Austin Lowery.

In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing will be observed, a mask or other facial covering will be required and a COVID-19 acknowledgment form will be required to be signed.
