TRUMANN — Gerald Ray Glidewell, 71, of Trumann departed this life Jan. 11, 2021, at the family residence. He was born in Tracy, Calif., and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann.
Gerald was co-owners with Randy McClung of McWell MFG, was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, a Lifetime Master Mason, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, and served on the Trumann Housing Authority Board for 32 years with 27 years as chairman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ray and Elsie Geraldine Smith Glidewell, and grandson, Emsley Ward McNair.
He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 51 years, Rayva McDaniel Glidewell of the home; two daughters, Mika (David) Davis and Maranda McNair, both of Trumann; and three grandchildren, Kennedy Crowell, Isabella Davis and Parks McNair.
A graveside celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Sarah Ellzey officiating. Burial will follow with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements.
In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form.
