TRUMANN — Herbert Conder Maxwell, 89, of Trumann departed this life Feb. 14, 2021, at the family residence.
He was born in Monette to the late Ivy Herbert and Susie Mae Holland Maxwell and lived most of his life in Trumann.
He was a salesman for Tasty Bread and Bunny Bread, a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of First Assembly of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Neil Maxwell, and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geneva Ruth Campbell Maxwell of the home; two sons, Ronnie (Linda) Maxwell and Kenny (Terry) Maxwell, both of Trumann; five sisters, Melba Lamphere of California, LaBelva Boyd of Florida, Laura Whitman and Iva Cahill, both of California, and Coy Hodges of Van Buren; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today at The First Assembly of God in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m. with the Revs. Kenneth Doke and Jared Maxwell officiating. Burial will be private in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye.
