JONESBORO — LaDohnna Lewis Freeman, 64, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 17, 1956, in Batesville to Hoover and Willia Jean Walden Lewis. LaDohnna held a master’s degree in special education and worked in the school system as a teacher until retirement.
She was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved sewing, embroidery, smocking, baking, quilting and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.
LaDohnna was preceded in death by her mother, a grandson, Amos Vinson, and a brother, Clarence Lewis.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of LaDohnna include her husband of 42 years, John Freeman; three daughters, Nichole (Daniel) Lockwood, Amy Freeman and Laura (Drew) Vinson; five grandchildren, Lilly, Griffin and Emma Lockwood and Joel and Elliot Vinson; and her father, Hoover Lewis.
Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Friday at First Free Will Baptist Church, 5407 Stadium Blvd. in Jonesboro with Carson Outlaw officiating. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. until time of service.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Lockwood and Drew Vinson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Per Centers for Disease Control guidelines, masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
