BROOKLAND — Larry Eugene Flanrey, 69, of Brookland, passed away Monday. Larry was the son of the late Herschel and Lucille Futrell Flanrey. He was a lifelong resident of Dixie.
Larry was a farmer for 35 years, a maintenance electrician for 40 years and the president of a local 911 for eight to 10 years.
He enjoyed being in his garden and spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Floyd Flanrey, and one sister, Mary Blumburg.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Flanrey of the home; two sons, Cody (Andrea) Flanrey of Jonesboro and Larry H. Flanrey of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lea Flanrey; two grandchildren, Shyanne Flanrey and Jaxon Flanrey; and five sisters, Georgia Jackson, Judy Speaks, Joan Maddox, Wanda Howerton and Bonnie Fesler.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Heath Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3 p.m.
In order to comply with Centers for Disease Control guidelines, there will be a limit of 80 people allowed inside the facility at one time. Face masks are required inside the building and friends are asked to practice social distancing.
