OSCEOLA — Mary F. Davis, 85, of Osceola, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020. She was born May 9, 1935, in Pontotoc, Miss., to Charlie and Nellie Mae Hanks.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Osceola, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, nursery worker, member of the Women on Mission, kitchen committee, flower committee and many other parts of the church.
She was a part of Junior Auxiliary of Osceola, an avid bridge player and a member of the Cancer Board.
Survivors include her husband, Ben Davis; daughter, Janet (Steve) Metheny; son, David (Kristi) Davis; grandchildren, Ashley (Justin) Smith, Austin (Chelsea) Metheny, Blake Austin Davis and Coleman Ross Davis; great-grandchildren, Steele Smith, Hawk Smith, Fletcher Smith and one due in October, Sutton Metheny; and sister, Charlie Jo McNabb.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ernestine Morris.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Osceola with funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.
