KILLEN, Ala. — William “Todd” Gibson, 55, of Killen, Ala., passed from this life Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020. He was born to Bill and Jane Gibson on Aug. 27, 1965, in Jonesboro.
Todd graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1983 and from Arkansas State University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and a minor in transportation. After Todd graduated from college, he married his high school sweetheart, Beth Chambers, on July 23, 1988.
Todd worked for K-Mart in Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia and Alabama for 29 years. For the last few years, Todd worked for Northern Tool and Equipment in Alabama.
In Todd’s free time he enjoyed fishing, playing sports and being a mentor to the youth in his community. Todd’s family was extremely important to him and they will miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Gibson of Jonesboro and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Gibson of Jonesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Killough of Biggers.
Todd is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Beth Gibson of Killen; son, Hunter Gibson of Killen; daughter, Haley Lee (Brett) of Jefferson, Ga.; father, Bill Gibson of Jonesboro; two sisters, Debbie Cardin (Ross) of Heber Springs and Panda Spurgin (Randy) of Berryville.
Todd also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.
The visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Jeff Stotts officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
