As a constituent of District 1, I am calling for U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford to resign. He has repeatedly lied to us about the integrity of the 2020 election and because of those lies five people, including a U.S. Capitol Police officer, are dead.

There is no evidence of widespread election fraud. The Trump campaign had its day in court over 60 times and only won once because they were unable to present any evidence of the things they claimed happened. The votes were counted, recounted and audited and no evidence of widespread fraud was found.

Congressman Crawford knows all of this, is lying to the citizens of District 1, and should resign. If he doesn’t know it, then he is being willfully ignorant of the truth, is allowing himself to be misled or ordered around by others, is not faithfully working for his constituents, and should resign.

Our representatives in Congress must tell us the truth. Especially when it comes to the integrity of our elections. States run their own elections. Congress’s job on Jan. 6 was to count the votes from the Electoral College. That’s it.

If Congress had a problem with a state’s election laws the time to address that was not after votes had been cast, counted and certified. Congressman Crawford and his colleagues who participated in this tomfoolery are responsible for what happened on Jan. 6. People died. It’s possible national security was breached.

They should all apologize to the American people and resign in disgrace.
