JONESBORO — Wakiryah Daniels scored 62 points combined over two games Monday and Tuesday as Nettleton won twice in senior girls’ basketball.
Daniels poured in 33 points Tuesday afternoon as the Lady Raiders routed Pulaski Academy 68-41 at Raider Gym. She personally outscored the Lady Bruins in the first half, sinking four 3-pointers while scoring 22 points as Nettleton took a 42-18 halftime lead.
Nettleton (9-3) led 19-8 after the first quarter and outscored Pulaski Academy (3-3) 23-10 in the second quarter. The Lady Raiders led 61-31 after the third quarter.
Briley Pena added eight points and nine assists; Natasia Oliver scored nine points; and Laila Eliotti finished with eight points and eight rebounds for the Lady Raiders. Natalya Kazn led Pulaski Academy with 22 points.
Daniels scored 29 points Monday night as the Lady Raiders routed West Side Greers Ferry 74-43.
The Lady Raiders pulled away with a big second quarter. Nettleton outscored West Side 30-11 in the second quarter to take a 41-20 halftime lead. The Lady Raiders led 57-37 going into the fourth quarter.
Pena finished with 22 points and Eliotti grabbed nine rebounds. Shawna Carlton scored 23 points and Kamryn Sutterfield added 12 for West Side (10-4).
Manila 49, Valley View 43
MANILA — Ty Wagner scored 18 points Tuesday to lead Manila to a 49-43 victory over Valley View in senior boys’ basketball.
Austin Harmon added 11 points and Jake Baltimore finished with 10 for the Lions (8-2). Manila led 13-11 after the first quarter, 24-21 at halftime and 36-26 after the third quarter.
CJ Delancy and Parker St. Pierre scored 16 points each for Valley View (7-5).
Valley View (10-3) won the junior boys’ game 47-34 as Carson Turley scored 19 points and Brian Huff added 13. Jacob Baugher and Rex Farmer scored nine points each for Manila.
Manila hosts Greene County Tech in a junior/senior boys’ doubleheader today at 2 p.m.
Pulaski Academy 50, Nettleton 47
JONESBORO — Pulaski Academy rallied in the second half to defeat Nettleton 50-47 in senior boys’ basketball Tuesday.
The Raiders (6-7) led 13-10 after the first quarter, 26-18 at halftime and 39-36 after three quarters. Israel Malone and Regan Hannah scored 11 points each to lead Nettleton.
Monday night, the Raiders avenged a road loss at Forrest City by defeating the Mustangs 84-70. Brandon Anderson scored 27 points, Malone 26 and Hannah 12.
North Little Rock 52, Jonesboro 48
NORTH LITTLE ROCK — North Little Rock rallied past Jonesboro 52-48 in senior girls’ basketball Tuesday.
The Lady Hurricane (7-3) rallied to lead 35-33 at the end of the third quarter after trailing 29-21 at halftime.
Ereauna Hardaway scored 19 points to lead Jonesboro. Lakiya Scott added eight points, followed by Shene’sha Hunter and Destiny Thomas with seven each.
Valley View 48, Mammoth Spring 36
JONESBORO — Valley View used scoring balance to defeat Mammoth Spring 48-36 in senior girls’ basketball Tuesday.
Hunter Gibson scored 12 points to lead the Lady Blazers (6-3). Morghan Weaver added 10 points, followed by Emma Higgins with nine, Anna Winkfield with eight and Kaleigh George with seven.
Valley View led 29-18 at halftime after outscoring Mammoth Spring 12-6 in the second quarter. The Lady Blazers led 44-26 after the third quarter.
Mammoth Spring won the junior girls’ game behind Brynn Washam’s 26 points. Carley Rich scored 14 points to lead Valley View.
Valley View won the seventh-grade game 20-17.
Manila 49, Rector 45
MANILA — Madison Hitchcock scored 24 points Tuesday to lead Manila to a 49-45 victory over Rector in senior girls’ basketball.
Sadie McDonald added 13 points for the Lady Lions (9-2). Manila led 18-10 after the first quarter, only to see Rector rally for a 27-25 halftime lead. The teams were tied at 31 to end the third quarter and at 43 to end regulation.
Ellie Ford scored 12 points for Rector, followed by Carly Robinson and Kaley Isom with 11 each.
Tuckerman 59, Pocahontas 38
TUCKERMAN — Tuckerman built a 14-point lead in the first quarter Tuesday and went on to defeat Pocahontas 59-38 in senior girls’ basketball.
The Lady Bulldogs (12-1) led 16-2 after the first quarter. Tuckerman extended its lead to 29-11 at halftime and led 38-20 after the third quarter.
Raigan Head scored 19 points to lead Tuckerman, followed by Shanley Williams and Ansley Dawson with 10 each. Kendra Johnson scored 13 points for Pocahontas.
Monday night, Tuckerman pulled away in the third quarter for a 52-37 victory at Fountain Lake.
Playing for the first time in 11 days, the Lady Bulldogs led 25-21 at halftime. Tuckerman outscored Fountain Lake 16-5 in the third quarter to take a 41-26 lead.
Head scored 17 points and Williams added 15 for Tuckerman.
Hoxie 60, Osceola 41
HOXIE — Jaedyn Brown scored 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Hoxie to a 60-41 victory over Osceola in senior girls’ basketball.
Jaecie Brown added 21 points and nine assists for Hoxie (7-0, 3-0 3A-3 conference). Ellery Gillham finished with nine rebounds and four blocked shots.
Hoxie won the junior girls’ game 49-14.
