MOUNTAIN HOME — Jonesboro held off Mountain Home for a 41-38 victory Tuesday night in senior girls’ basketball.
The Lady Hurricane (7-2) opened an 11-3 lead in the first quarter. Jonesboro went on to lead 19-15 at halftime and 32-25 to end the third quarter.
Ereauna Hardaway and Bramyia Johnson scored eight points each to lead Jonesboro. Lexi Laws followed with seven points, while Chasity Jackson and T’Kera Anderson added six each.
Kate Gilbert scored 17 points and Addison Yates added 11 for Mountain Home (1-8).
Brookland 61, Riverside 48
BROOKLAND – Gracie Gramling and Hannah Boling scored 14 points each Tuesday as Brookland defeated Riverside 61-48 for its third consecutive victory.
A.J. Allen added 13 points for the Lady Bearcats (5-3), who led 28-12 at halftime.
Ali Towles led Riverside with 14 points. Mackenzie Thomas and Anna Meurer added 11 points each for the Lady Rebels.
Brookland (10-0) won the junior girls’ game 39-9 as Kinsey Clark scored 13 points.
Corning 64, Rivercrest 59
CORNING – Corning took its first lead with 32 seconds remaining in Tuesday’s game and went on to defeat Rivercrest 64-59 in 3A-3 conference senior girls’ basketball.
Katie Cole and Madison Montana scored 15 points each to lead the Lady Bobcats. Whitley Bolen added 12 points.
Brineka Taylor scored 21 points to lead Rivercrest. The Lady Colts led 19-15 after the first quarter, 35-29 at halftime and 51-46 after the third quarter.
Corning won the junior girls’ game 55-11, led by Presley Martin with 20 points and Kenlie Watson with 16.
