MARION — Jonesboro clinched its fourth consecutive 5A-East conference volleyball championship Thursday with a 25-23, 22-25, 25-12, 25-14 victory over Marion.

Three Jonesboro players finished with double-digit kills. Rosalind Lutes had 13 kills and nine digs; Mollie McCoy finished with 12 kills and two blocks; and Taylor Abernathy added 11 kills, two blocks and three aces on 29-of-30 serving for the Lady Hurricane (14-1, 12-0 conference).

Also for Jonesboro, Teagan Cox had three blocks; Abby Johnson collected 39 assists and 10 digs; Maggie Orr finished with 18 digs; Shelbye Varner added 12 digs; and Anna Parker chipped in with nine digs.

Jonesboro (14-0) won the JV contest 25-19, 25-17.

Westside 3, Pocahontas 0

POCAHONTAS — Abby Manley collected 11 kills Thursday to lead Westside to a 25-13, 25-16, 25-11 victory over Pocahontas in 4A-Northeast volleyball.

Colleen Jackson added eight kills and 13 digs for the Lady Warriors (13-3, 11-3 conference). Hannah Pickering recorded seven kills; Baile Rogers contributed 21 digs; and Laynee Montgomery finished with 13 assists and 13 digs.

Brookland 3, Blytheville 0

BROOKLAND — Cameron Baugh and Lyndsey McCall served six aces each Thursday to help lead Brookland to a 25-10, 25-6, 25-7 victory over Blytheville in 4A-Northeast volleyball.

Elaina Parker added five kills and served four aces for Brookland (13-3, 11-2 conference). Abby Battles recorded 10 assists and four aces; McCall added eight assists; and JayCee Burns served four aces and added eight digs.

Brookland won the junior high match 25-2, 25-9.

Trumann 3, Highland 0

HIGHLAND — Christina Jean-Paul recorded 14 kills and six blocks Thursday to power Trumann to a 25-20, 28-26, 25-18 victory over Highland in 4A-Northeast volleyball.

Zoey Craig added eight kills and six blocks, while Jayda Halfacre contributed eight kills and three aces. Carlie Jo Hicks served seven aces to go with 12 assists for Trumann (8-8, 6-8 conference).

Annaleigh Penter passed for 24 assists. Anna Lebo and Isabella Davis finished with 18 and 10 digs, respectively.

Highland won the junior high match 22-25, 25-22, 15-13. Macey Powell had 10 kills and 12 digs for Trumann, while Jaelyn Craig served five aces; Jaci Osment came up with 23 digs; and Marybeth Penter contributed 11 digs.

Wynne 3, Forrest City 0

WYNNE — Kaleigh Taylor served 10 aces Thursday as Wynne cruised past Forrest City 25-8, 25-7, 25-8 in 4A-Northeast volleyball.

Cassidi Campbell added seven kills for Wynne (9-8, 8-5 conference). Maggie Hale passed for 20 assists and Emily Hale contributed four kills.

Wynne won the junior high match 25-7, 25-1 as Abby Scarborough finished with 15 aces on 24-of-24 serving. Reece Roberts added six kills and Shea Walton finished with 16 assists for Wynne.

Hoxie 3, Pal.-Wheatley 0

PALESTINE – Ellery Gillham produced 11 kills, eight digs, four blocks and five aces on 19-of-19 serving Thursday as Hoxie swept Palestine-Wheatley 25-14, 25-19, 25-7 in 3A-Northeast volleyball.

Jaedyn Brown added 11 kills, 14 digs and seven blocks for the Lady Mustangs. Cara Forrester was 13-of-13 serving with four aces and 14 assists.

Also for Hoxie, Olivia Palmer added 23 assists; Mykala Johnson had five kills; and Chloe Prater finished with four kills.

Hoxie won the junior high match 25-6, 25-21. Bailey Prater had five kills for Hoxie; Hannah Riggs and Nadia Greer added seven assists each, with Greer also contributing six kills and 13-of-13 serving; and Gracie Felton finished with 12 digs.

MacArthur 2, Marion 0

JONESBORO — MacArthur swept Marion 25-20, 25-11 in junior high volleyball Thursday.

Caroline Hughes finished with six kills and 10 digs for MacArthur; Hope Huckabee added four kills, five aces and eight digs; Hadley Orr recorded five kills and four aces; and Savannah Byrd collected 14 assists.
