MARMADUKE — Heidi Robinson produced 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists Saturday night to lead Marmaduke to a 56-39 victory over Riverside in the 2A-3 girls' district tournament championship game.
Robinson was 9-of-10 from the free throw line for the Lady Greyhounds (28-5). Riverside (17-11) led 9-6 after the first quarter before Marmaduke came back to lead 21-15 at halftime.
Baylie Joiner added 11 points and eight rebounds for Marmaduke. Bean Hoffman and Maranda Bear contributed 10 points and five rebounds each.
Mackenzie Thomas scored 11 points for Riverside.
Marmaduke will play Carlisle on Wednesday in the first round of the Class 2A North Region tournament at Rector at 10 a.m., while Riverside will play McCrory on Thursday at 4 p.m. Rector plays England on Thursday at 10 a.m.
In the 2A-3 semifinals Friday, Marmaduke routed Earle 61-36 and Riverside earned a 34-32 victory at second-seeded Rector.
Robinson finished with 24 points, eight assists and six rebounds to lead Marmaduke. Joiner added 10 points and 10 rebounds; Hoffman finished with eight points and seven rebounds; and Zoe Massey, Chancey Henry and Bear combined for 18 points.
Marmaduke led 30-18 at halftime and 52-29 after the third quarter.
Kalli Blocker, Thomas and Hannah Gosa combined for seven points to lead Riverside past Rector. Ellie Ford scored 12 points for Rector.
