BATESVILLE — With just under two months before the 2020 season kicks off, the Lyon College football team earned national recognition in the College Football America Yearbook NAIA Preseason Top-30 Poll.

The Scots landed at No. 28 in the preseason poll. It is the first time the Scots have been ranked in the CFA’s poll.

The Scots receive the preseason ranking after going 7-3 – a program-best – in 2019, including a 6-2 mark in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

The College Football America Yearbook is an annually printed publication that features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada. It includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCAA, and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies, and Mexican college football.

College Football America released their 2020 Yearbook earlier this month.
