JONESBORO — Ridgefield Christian edged Mammoth Spring 62-58 Saturday night in the 1A-3 boys' district tournament championship game.
Garrett Finnicum scored 18 points to pace the Warriors (23-7). Noah Stracener added 14 points, Isaiah Ellenburg 12 and Will Archer 11 as Ridgefield Christian earned its 10th consecutive victory.
Aidan Burns scored 33 points to lead Mammoth Spring (21-10).
Ridgefield Christian led 26-21 at halftime after the game was tied at 13 at the end of the first quarter. The Warriors held a 42-36 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Ridgefield Christian routed Maynard 88-50 Thursday in the semifinals.
Finnicum scored 25 points to lead four Warriors in double figures. Ellenburg added 19 points, Stracener 14 and Archer 13 for Ridgefield Christian, which led 45-21 at halftime.
James Vandergriff scored 18 points and Jacob Pepper added 14 for Maynard.
Burns scored 24 points and Cole Young added 15 Thursday in Mammoth Spring's 54-52 semifinal victory over Marked Tree.
The tournament championship gives Ridgefield Christian the top seed from 1A-3 in the Class 1A Region 2 tournament at Izard County. The Warriors play Concord on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Mammoth Spring plays Izard County on Thursday at 7 p.m.; Marked Tree plays West Side Greers Ferry on Thursday at 1 p.m.; and Maynard plays Viola on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
