The number of active cases of COVID-19 dipped below 50 this week, as the Arkansas Department of Health reported the county with 46 active cases as of Tuesday.

This is a decrease of 16 from the previous week’s active case count of 62.

The number of new cases was low, as well, with the total case count only increasing by 28, from the 1,957 reported last week to 1,985 this week.

An additional 44 were added to the recovered list, bringing that total to 1,898, up from the 1,854 reported the previous Tuesday.

The number of COVID- related deaths among Lawrence County residents remains unchanged at 41.
