With many in Arkansas having received their vaccinations and the mask mandate having been lifted, the numbers for COVID-19 in Lawrence County remain low with only six new cases reported in the last week.

As of Tuesday the Arkansas Department of Health reported a total cumulative case count of 2,075, up six from the 2,069 reported the previous week.

Five Lawrence County residents were added to the recovered list, bringing that total from 2,021 last week to 2,026 this week.

As a result, the active case count for Lawrence County increased by one with six active cases reported for the county as of Tuesday.

There were no additional COVID-related deaths reported, so that count remains unchanged at 43.
