The COVID-19 case numbers in Lawrence County continue to go in the right direction as only one new case was reported during the past week and the current active case count stands at two cases.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health website, the total cumulative case count for the county is now 2,065, up only one case from the 2,064 reported a week ago.

In addition, seven were added to the recovered list, increasing that number from 2,014 reported last week to 2,021 as of Tuesday.

This change resulted in the number of active cases decreasing from eight a week ago to only two this week.

The number of deaths among Lawrence County residents remains unchanged at 42.
