Rubble is all that remains

A pile of bricks and other debris is all that remains of two buildings that were destroyed by fire on July 23 in downtown Walnut Ridge. Damage to the county-owned building at 115 West Walnut can be seen in the background. The building houses the Lawrence County Library and Lawrence County Meeting Room. The Lawrence County Housing Authority, which was located in one of the buildings that were destroyed in the fire, is being temporarily housed in the Larkspur Gardens Community Room, located at 109 SW Larkspur in Walnut Ridge.
