Traffic light poles removed

Workers with a company based in Paragould remove the light poles that held the caution and flashing red lights at the intersection of Main Street with Abbey Road and Northwest Second Street. The Walnut Ridge City Council voted in 2019 to implement one-way traffic on the two side streets to control traffic flow. Mayor Charles Snapp said the city will save the poles in case an accident happens where the poles could be used for replacements at another traffic signal location.
