Cynthia Marie McGough, 62, of Walnut Ridge, died April 14, 2021, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born Oct. 4, 1958, in San Diego, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert W. and Ina M. Fears Pickney. Early in her career, Cyndi was a Hospitality Director for the Hilton Hotels and for the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs. She worked as an administrative assistant and support for several different businesses. Later she worked as a field agent for the U.S. Bureau of Census and was a Lawrence County funeral director for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Portia. She loved to travel, spend time outdoors, gaming, arts and collecting angels. Cyndi was a daddy’s girl and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Robert W. Brumfield.

Survivors include her two sons, Dr. Randall (Christina) Brumfield of Baton Rouge, La., and Richard (Stacia) Brumfield of Powhatan, Va.; five grandchildren, Amelia, Abigail, Kyle, Bianca and Riley Brumfield; two sisters, Pamela Warren Snow of Walnut Ridge and Virginia (Leon) Goff of Hoxie; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Sunday, April 18, from 1-2 p.m., with the funeral following a 2 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home. Interment was in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Terry McNelly, James Pickney, and Dr. Randall and Richard Brumfield.
