Florence Black Huskey, 84, of Strawberry, died Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 12, 1937, in Pleasant Ridge, Ky., to Gilbert Black and Ethel Dragoo Black. She was a loving matriarch to a large family. She was united in marriage to Bobby Dean Huskey on Dec. 24, 1954. She was a homemaker her entire life and was a member of Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Ethel Black; husband, Bobby Dean Huskey; and sons, James Allen Huskey and Ronald Dean Huskey.
She is survived by son, Roger (Danielle) Huskey of Smithville; brothers, William Black of Hot Springs, Jack (Jenny) Black of Jacksonville, and George Black of Slidell, La.; sister, Carolyn (Pat) Clinton of Walnut Ridge; grandsons, Eric (Heather) Huskey of Strawberry, Brent (Keitha) Huskey of Annieville, Adam (Brittney) Huskey of Paragould, and Mike (Rhonda) Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Jody (Cody) Brannon, Shelby Hoggard, Shanna Hoggard, Katelyn Graddy, Elias Huskey, Peyton Huskey, Isaac Huskey, Fisher Huskey, Olivia Huskey, Vanessa Hamilton, Lanae Hamilton and Alexis Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 25, from 12:30-2 p.m. at Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Saffell. Funeral services began at 2 p.m. with Bro. Stanley Vandergrift officiating. Interment was in Lancaster Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge and Lynn.
