Frances Tennison, 88, of Hoxie, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

She was born March 22, 1932, in Alicia, to James “Punch” Rogers and Laura Tatum Rogers. She loved the community in which she lived and worked. She was a bookkeeper for Regions Bank. She was a member of Eastern Star, Charles Chapter #410 of Hoxie. She served as Worthy Matron several times. She also served as Deputy Grand Lecturer in 2006. She was Grand Esther for the state of Arkansas and Grand Representative for the state of Michigan. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Hoxie Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Tennison; sister, Hilda Couch; and brothers, Roy, Adrian and JT Rogers.

She is survived by her daughter, Ances (James) Glidewell of Hoxie; sons, Bill (Mary) Tennison of Walls, Miss., and Rusty Tennison of Hoxie; grandchildren, Candice (Tom) Edwards, Jonesboro, Jeff Glidewell of Hoxie, Nathan Tennison and Beau Tennison both of Mississippi, Timothy (Nicki) Tennison of Montgomery, Ala., and Toni (Charles) Stevers of Ala.; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services were Monday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at Stranger’s Home Cemetery in Alicia with Rev. Gary Wiles officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
