Frankie Edgar Pitcher, 100, of Monette, formerly of Walnut Ridge, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at Monette Manor. He was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Delaplaine, to the late Cleve and Margaret Varner Pitcher. He was a sharecropper and factory worker during his life, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Frankie was of the Christian belief.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Tessie Swift Pitcher; sons, Edward Pitcher and Franklin Pitcher; daughter, Eula Pitcher; brothers, Cleo, Norman, Vondia, Glenn, Ben, Wilburn and Lorene Pitcher; and sister, Hazel Pitcher.

He is survived by his daughters, Edna Riddle of West Plains, Mo., and Muriel Gentry of Walnut Ridge; sister, Clara May Stevens of Paragould; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Friday, Sept. 25, from noon until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Graveside services followed at 2 p.m. in Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas with Tommy Pitcher officiating.
