Gary Mike Blackshear, 64, of Forrest City, formerly of Walnut Ridge, died July 12, 2020, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born Oct. 14, 1955, in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of the late Earl Eugene and Inez Riggs Blackshear. He worked as a farm hand and he was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Sandra Cummings.

Survivors include a daughter, Heather Ratton of Newport; his brother, Larry Blackshear of Walnut Ridge; three sisters, Sharon Cummings of St. Charles, Mo., and Carolyn Lawson and Shelia Phillips, both of Walnut Ridge; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be Friday, July 17, at 10 a.m. at Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Tim Campbell officiating. Bryan Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

No visitation is planned.
