Harold Clinton Ferguson, 96, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

He was born April 20, 1925, in Willow Springs, Mo., to Oscar Jefferson Ward and Bessie May Howell Ferguson. He was united in marriage to Emma Vaughn on July 28, 1950, in Rupert, Idaho. Harold was employed at Burlington Northern Railroad for 32 years. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was of the Christian belief.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his son, Clinton Lee Ferguson; six brothers, and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Emma, of the home; children, Linda Howard (Terry), Ed Ferguson (Laura), both of Mountain Home, and Joe Ferguson (Lisa) of Hoxie; sister, Maxine Lattman of Chicago; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors was held Tuesday, May 18, 1 p.m. in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock with Rob Combs officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Joe Ferguson II, Jason Ferguson, Josh Ferguson, Dillon Cagle, Todd Jones and Dwight Ferguson.
