Janet Nichols Statler Cassiday, 79, of Memphis, passed away April 15, 2021.

She was born to Dollie Cox and Don O. Nichols in Walnut Ridge on Oct. 20, 1941. Janet was a graduate of Egypt High School and attended Bellevue Baptist Church.

Janet is survived by her husband of 30 years, Oakley Cassiday; children, Kevin Statler, Jackson, Tenn., Felicia Statler Davis (Kent), Maumelle, and Debra Statler, Crawfordsville; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Statler, Jonesboro; a brother, Don R. Nichols, Liberty, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, Michael Statler Sr.; and her in-laws, Tyla and Oakley Cassiday.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 24, at Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, Tenn., following COVID protocols.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or your local humane society.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of M.J. Edwards Stage Road Chapel.
