Jessie Joann Trawick, 86, of Walnut Ridge, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born Dec. 15, 1933, in Clover Bend, to Edgar Doyle and Pearl Ballard Doyle. A loving wife and mother, Joann found joy in interacting with people. She worked as a retail clerk for Latham’s Grocery in Portia, as well as being a homemaker for her family. She loved to watch wrestling as much as going to Latham’s Store. She loved her Taco Bell burritos and Dr. Pepper. She was a member of Portia Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Trawick; brother, Bob Doyle; and sisters, Louise Hilbert and Marguerite McElroy.

She is survived by her daughters, Sarita Lane of Portia, Doreen (Scott) Cambron of Jonesboro, and Shawn Wallis of Walnut Ridge; son, John (Whitney) Trawick of Paragould; brothers, Billy Ed Doyle of Portia and Van (Janice) Doyle of Lynn; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service was held Friday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at Austin Cemetery with Rodney Stevenson officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
