Lula Marie Jones, 75, of Nelsonville passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2020. She was born Nov. 25, 1944, in Saffell, to George Alexander and Doris Pauline Pinkston Blankenship. She worked several years for Settles Cleaners and Nuway Cleaners, both in Batesville, and also worked several years for Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City. She was a member of the Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church at Nelsonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, J.D. Ring and William Wilkes; one son, Michael Ring; one brother, Leroy Blankenship; two sisters, Allie Jean Blankenship and Bulah Mae Tackett and one step-grandson, Shannon Martin.

Survivors include her husband of 14 years, W.G. Jones Jr., of the home; one daughter, Tammy Romero (Chris) of Mountain View; one daughter-in-law, Ann Ring of Batesville; stepdaughter, Carla Medlock (Bernis) of Searcy; stepsons, Jamie Martin (Kathy) and Tim Martin, both of Poughkeepsie; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Nelsonville with Bro. Boyce Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sidney with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were Chris Romero, Traven Romero, Dalton Romero, Tim Martin, Bernis Medlock and Kenny Boyd. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Martin, Randy Smith and Jerry Medlock.
