Robert Galbreath, 94, of Simsboro, La., passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the Alpine Guest Care.

He was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Minturn, to Claudy and Minnie (Smith) Galbreath. Robert worked in construction until retirement. He was of the Baptist belief and loved scrap metal and talking to people.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Roxie Galbreath; his parents; two sisters and two brothers.

Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Robert include his son, Bob (Debora) Galbreath; a special nephew, Jimmy Jean Waldrup; grandchildren, Bryan Galbreath, Shanna (Manuel) Mooney, Tonja Galbreath and Jamie Galbreath; nine great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today (May 12) at Markham Cemetery at Egypt with William Richmond officiating.

Doug Parsons, Chris Hanson, Jimmy Waldrup, Jonathan Williams, Jacob Trowbridge and Craig Williams will serve as pallbearers. Paul Riggs, Jasper Riggs, Chris Cagle and Alicia Trowbridge will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation was Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
