Ruthie Nixon, 82, of Romance, died Sept. 15, 2020, at her home.

Born April 4, 1938, at Lauratown, she was the daughter of Cecil and Isma Stewart Wilson. She had formerly worked at American Cleaners in St. Louis County, Mo., and was a member of Calvary Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Daytona Beach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Virgil Nixon; daughters, Donna Futrell and Brenda Way; son, Kenneth Nixon; sister, Ann Davis; and brothers, Leroy Wilson and Amos Wilson.

Survivors include sons, Mike Nixon, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Johnnie Nixon, Neelyville, Mo.; sister, Fern Shelton, Portia; brother, Charles Wilson, Jesup; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Funeral was Monday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely, Mo. Interment was in Shepherd Hills Cemetery at Barnhart, Mo.
