Sherry Lynn Boggs, 66, of Black Rock, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
She was born Oct. 24, 1953, in Sundale, Calif., to Hubert Boggs and Ruth Loy Boggs. She married James Boggs on Oct. 29, 1971. She worked as registered nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and St. Bernards Medical Center before retiring. She was a member of Faith Worship Center in Portia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Ruth.
She is survived by her husband, James Boggs, of the home; sons, Chris (Robin) Boggs and Michael Boggs, all of Black Rock; daughter, Sarah Hoffman of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Robert Boggs of Washington and Kenny Boggs of Arizona; sisters, Sandra Wessel of Arizona, Linda Kelley of Vilonia, and Karen Hirth of California; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Cord, Danisha, Jessica, Tristan, Sebastian, Layne, Lillie, Wade and Charli; seven great-grandchildren, Skylar, Kairi, Savannah, Kenadi, Corbyn, Jerzie and Ally Faye; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Faith Worship Center in Portia. Funeral services followed at 1 with Steve Alexander and Brian Alexander officiating. Interment was in Powhatan Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge and Lynn.
